Welcome to a New Year with Explorer Campers and it is shaping up as being bigger then our previous years with a busy start to 2012.

We wanted to take the chance to remind you of the first camping show we will be exhibiting at this year. The Queanbeyan 4wd spectacular which will be held on the 11th & 12th February. http://4wdspectacular.org.au/

This is a Bi annual show and whilst the last one washed out with huge rainfalls over the Saturday it always proves to be a great day out.  So come along and check us out at site 127

It has been another busy year for us and 2012 is shaping up to be even bigger, with new shows. We will be taking a well earned break with Factory closing from Thursday 22nd December and will re-open Wednesday 4th January.

Ex-Demo Flinders Light Off Road Explorer Camper For Sale!

We have upgraded our Explorer Campers demo fleet, and as such, have a fantastic Flinder Light Off-Rd model for sale. They camper is as new and comes with all the first-class standard features you expect from an Explorer, plus many extras as detailed below:

·         Flinders Light off rd inclusive of standard inclusions, 50mm ball coupling, 10 inch electric drum brakes, mechanical hand brake on the coupling, 45 mm axle, 14 inch brand new light truck tyres, 7 leak alko eye to eye rebound shackle springs, bike rack mounts in the drawbar, storage boot with incorporated pole carrier, double jerry can rack and gas bottle holder on drivers side, spare wheel mounted on the tailgate.

·         We have built our 9ft camper with an 8 ft awning, this is also inclusive of a fully enclosed annexe, and floor mesh, on the inside of the tent it is also inclusive of our deluxe bed step for access to the bed.

·         On the inside of the trailer it features our Steel roll out kitchen with a stainless steel bench top on ball bearing rollers, beside the kitchen we have a full length aluminium carpet lined storage drawer on ball bearing rollers.

·         Inside the front boot i have mounted our standard 12 volt with many additional extras, such as a CTEK DC-DC Charger, and our 240 volt system. The 12 volt system compromises of 1 x 100amphr battery, low voltage cut out, a digital volt gauge, 6 blade fuse block, 600mm LED light in the roof of the tent, 2 outlets beside the tent, and 2 outlets on your rear roller drawer.

·         The left side of the trailer – (passenger side) we have enclosed the sides with 3 separate lockers, which can be key locked and also accessed inside the tent, the lockers are all equipped with LED lighting.

List price on this camper as is, is RRP $20,635 including 12 months rego.

The demo price we are offering is $18,000 including 12 months rego.

A couple of things you may wish to add to the camper from the outset or later is an inner spring mattress upgrade or tropical roof fly.

Mid North Coast Caravan Camping 4WD Fish and Boat Show

We are currently preparing to head up the pacific hwy to the Mid North Coast  show for 2011, where will again have our camper trailers on display and also our NEW Tray back camper.

The show is open Friday & Saturday 9am - 5pm & Sunday 9am - 4pm.

Explorer Campers NEW Tray Back Camper

Explorer Campers is proud to announce our all new tray back camper, we have intorduced this camper into our range to compliment our already popular well back camper. Please see below some of our first photos.

 The camper can be set up on its legs and be left in your yard or shed for storage between trips. All legs are included in our base price.

  The camper can be removed from the vehicle at camp and left set up or removed from the vehicle and  set up whilst on its legs.

  The optional enclosed bedroom can be zipped onto the main tent section which provides you with 2 large screened windows and a screened door. it also has a skirt that drops from the rear of the camper to the ground and has a zip in bucket floor which can be attached. This provides you with an area to set up bedding for additional people or an area for you to store clothing bags etc.

 If you are doing a road trip and don’t want to remove the camper from the vehicle you can simply set it up all  attached to the car, a set up similar to this should take 15 mins. If you are setting up tent and awning you would be comfortably set up in 10 minutes

 The camper is manufactured from 3mm Marine grade aluminium it is powdercoated to match or contrast your vehicle. The camper as displayed including the legs weighs only 320kg.

Hunter Valley Show 2011

After another busy weekend at the Hunter Valley Caravan Camping 4WD Fish and Boat show we would like to thank everyone who came to the show and had a look over our campers. Thankfully the weather held out for us and there were so many people through the gates.

It was great to see so many of our customers and hear their tales of adventure and which parts of the country our camper trailers have been to since we last caught up.

We released our all new tray back slide on camper for the public to look over, we are extremely pleased with the feedback and i will hopefully be able to post some photos up on the blog before the weekend. Thats if it stops raining and i can get out and take some!

In the meantime please dont hesitate to come past the factory at West Gosford for a first hand look.

Easter 2011

After another Easter Longweekend has passed us by i dont think there were many Explorer Campers not out in use!

We have had customers down the south coast of NSW (kiwi Pete from ACT below on his way home), also Mid Nort Coast at Harrington & Crowdy Head, and quite a few west of the great dividing range near Bathurst and Sofala, those who managed to escape west managed to miss the rain that we experienced here on the Central Coast.

If you did have a wet Eatser camping trip dont forget to make sure everything is dry and clean before your store your camper in preparation for your next wekend escape

For those who are looking to head down to the Super show at Rosehill unfortunately you will not find us there this year but please dont hesitate to come in and see us before you go.
